The manifesto

There's a divide running through the lives of Christian creatives.

You've probably felt it.

We spend our weeks pouring our gifts into work that pays. Commercials, campaigns, content for brands we'll forget by the time it ships.

And we spend our Sundays asking what it would look like to use those same gifts for something that lasts. Sower exists for that question.

Sower is where we find each other.

We believe every Christian creative is called to be a sower.

01

Our gifts are how we cast.

The craft you already have is the instrument.

02

The work is the seed.

Premier-quality creative, the kind we'd give a Fortune 500.

03

The viewer is the ground.

We sow honestly and well, and trust what we can't see.

04

The harvest is what lasts.

Every life the Gospel reaches through the work.

A community of Christian creatives across every craft and every medium. Painters, photographers, filmmakers, writers, musicians, designers, and many more. All of us choosing to sow our gifts into work that points to Jesus.

We're not making Gospel-flavored marketing. We're not making safe-for-Sundays-only content. We're making premier-quality creative, in service of the only message worth a life's work.

This is the start. A platform for sowers, where we find each other, find projects worth making, and get paid to make them.

Where we are

We're early.
On purpose.

The platform isn't built yet. The community is forming. The waitlist is where it begins.

Sower will help an idea find the people, skills, and support needed to bring it to life.

01

Bring the idea.

Share a project worth making.

02

Find your people.

Gather the gifts it needs.

03

Make it together.

Build, fund, and bring it to life.

You might be one of us

You love the craft, but the briefs you're getting don't matter.

You wonder what it would look like to spend a year of your craft on something that points to Jesus.

You believe the Gospel is worth your craft, not just the leftovers.

If any of that lands, you're one of us. Come find the rest.

A note from Ryan
Ryan, founder of Sower

Why couldn't that be every creative, at every scale?

I was sitting in church a few years ago during worship, watching the creatives on stage. The looks on their faces. The passion behind what they were doing. Real people using real gifts to point to Jesus.

And one question landed: why couldn't that be every creative, at every scale? That question became Sower.

I run a production company called Pure Cinema. It's been good to us. The client work doesn't always have my whole heart, but the craft does. For a long time, I told myself my feelings weren't as important as feeding my family. So Sower lived in the down moments.

Lately, I keep picturing a moment. I'm in my living room with an iPad, scrolling the Sower home screen. There's work to look at. There's a community in it. There's real engagement. Sower is no longer in my head. It's in the world. It's thriving.

I'll be honest with you. I'm scared. Leaving my agency job to start Pure Cinema was the biggest leap I'd ever taken. This is bigger. This time there's a wife, three kids, a mortgage.

The answer I keep coming back to: if this is really God-breathed, I'm not doing it alone. If He wants this to happen, He'll be the one to make it happen. I just need to get out of the boat. If you're here, thank you. Tell a friend if this resonates.
